Tab Session Manager Privacy Policy

All session data stays on your device. Here is exactly what we collect, how we handle it, where it is stored, and who it is shared with.
1. Data Collection
We collect only data you explicitly provide: session names, tags, notes, and settings. Automatically, we read tab URLs and titles only at the moment you save a session — not passively. No personal identification, no browsing history content, no payment data, no device identifiers, and no usage analytics are ever collected.
2. Data Handling
Tab URLs and titles are read only when you save a session (manually or via auto-save). This data is immediately stored locally and never transmitted anywhere. Session exports are generated locally and saved to your device. No data is ever sent to our servers or any third party. The Extension has no backend server and makes no outbound network requests.
3. Data Storage
All data is stored exclusively on your device using chrome.storage.local — browser-native, sandboxed, and inaccessible to other extensions or websites. No cloud sync, no external databases. Sessions persist until you delete them or your configured retention policy removes them. You can delete all data via 'Clear All Sessions' in settings or by uninstalling the Extension.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third parties — no exceptions. The Extension makes no outbound network requests. Export files (JSON/CSV/Markdown) are saved to your local device only — not to any server.
5. Permissions
tabs: read open tab URLs and titles when saving sessions. storage: save sessions and preferences locally. alarms: trigger auto-save at your configured interval. notifications: alert you when auto-save completes or storage is near capacity. contextMenus: add 'Save Session' to the right-click menu. offscreen: enable file export in the service worker context. host_permissions (<all_urls>): required to read tab info across all websites.
6. No Tracking or Analytics
Zero analytics, zero crash reporting, zero telemetry. We do not track how you use the extension, what websites you visit, or how often you save sessions. None of that data is collected, stored, or shared.
7. Children's Privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from minors.
